WOW: In the Small Moments of Easter Sunday

Walking around the kitchen counter to gather up the remaining dishes after dinner, my eye catches a ripe mandarin hue beaming through the window. I stop and turn to see a whale spout just south of the sun that is settling itself atop the horizon line for a final glow before dripping into dusk.

“Mama, up.”

My daughter walks over and motions to me both arms outstretched.  I scoop her up.

“Ohhh……Wooowwww…..Whale!!!” she says excitedly as she points out to the ocean.

Today is Easter Sunday.

This morning, I woke with a knot in my solar plexus. I discovered in it the yearning to connect in to the spiritual significance of the holiday.

We took our daughter to an Easter egg hunt, and later as she napped we watched two live-streamed Easter services from our outdoor living space here in Baja.

My WOW today is two fold.

One. I am WOW’d by how deeply our hearts yearn to make sense of our existence. I know of the way my heart calls out to know God, and I imagine today the millions of people that are raising their voices in praise of Jesus and who are calling out to the God of their hearts in the way that aligns with their faith. This collective yearning is mind blowing to me.

Two. I am WOW’d by the small moments we are given to be with the eternal.

Ah, Wow myself. Rich post, as rich as the layers of mandarin sky. The richness deepened, especially since I’ve been in the place, both physical and energetic you reference. I love the wisdom of holding polarities, a deep exploration in my own life these days. We seek the big and find meaning in the minute. Brilliant wise one.
