About
People seem to talk about being the change you wish to see in the world all the time these days.
On February 15, 2011, I set out to find out what would happen if I put that famous saying to the test.
I committed to sharing the ways I chose love, inspirations that captured me, and things I learned about conscious choice. That year came and went, and I did have some great stories to share!
I’ve worked in magazines in Manhattan and marketing in a cubical. Choosing love led me to a life I could not have imagined, and it keeps getting better by the day (though not without having to muster a fair share of courage to find, see, and heal the places within myself that block love’s flow).
I now speak in middle and high schools internationally on body image, self esteem, and making a difference; support girls in living their potential; and am pursing a Masters in Executive Leadership offered jointly by the University of San Diego and Ken Blanchard Companies. I believe in living and leading from love.
I am (still) a recovering perfectionist, who is day by day, owning her authenticity, imperfections, and gifts a bit more. I love learning, coconuts, and driving my Mini with the top down in the sun. I love God, traveling, playing, yoga, and coloring with all the crayon colors in the box. Flowers, beaches, Tahoe and dinner parties make me smile. I am a Truth and justice seeker, a helper, an enthusiast, and a DISC “I”. “I” choose love.
I believe we have in each moment a choice. When we are aware of that choice, we can always choose to act from either love or fear – never both. One will always prevail. Look around you – do you see the manifestations of that choice in yourself, your community, and the world like I do?
I invite you to join me in making this choice your practice, too.
Here’s to The Choice – mine, yours, and ours -

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
